With things knotted up at halftime, the visiting Two Rivers boys soccer team allowed Plymouth to score in the 54th minute for the 1-0 Eastern Wisconsin Conference loss on Thursday.

“It was an amazing battle tonight,” Two Rivers coach David Anschutz said. “I honestly think it’s the best soccer game TR has ever played.”

The Raiders had 16 shots on goal while the Panthers had 19 shots.

Erik Wiegand was in net for Two Rivers (5-4, 4-2 EWC) and made 14 saves.

The Raiders will next compete in this weekend’s New Holstein Invite.

Bay Port 2, Manitowoc Lincoln 0

Lincoln allowed visiting Bay Port to score two minutes into the game and again in the 69th minute for the Fox River Classic Conference loss.

The Ships had two shots on goal to Bay Port’s nine while Drake Nickels made seven saves in net for Lincoln (9-2, 2-2 FRCC).

Wrightstown 4, Roncalli 1

Trailing 2-1 at halftime, visiting Roncalli allowed a pair of second-half goals to put the game out of reach and couldn’t recover.

Wrightstown scored first in the 18th minute but the Jets answered 11 minutes later on a goal by Devin Veith.

In the 35th minute Wrightstown scored to head into the half with the one-goal advantage before scoring goals in the 53rd and 66th minutes.
