The Two Rivers girls tennis team faced Chilton and Shawano on Thursday morning, falling to Chilton 5-2 before prevailing over Shawano 4-3 in the home contests.

The Raiders were able to pick up a pair of doubles wins against Chilton but couldn’t overcome having to forfeit three singles matches.

Two Rivers’ No. 1 doubles pair of Taylor Czekala and Lindsay Fish topped Briana Reilly and Nicol Schmidlkofes 6-1, 6-0 while the Raiders’ No. 2 pair of Ashley Kakuk and Gabby Yokiel edged Danielle Lobringer and Natalie Woelfel.

The Raiders did manage to get a pair of singles wins against Shawano as Lindsay Fish (No. 1) and Nicole Daetz (No. 3) won their matches. Fish topped Courtney Ainsworth 6-1, 6-2 and Daetz defeated Isabelle Carroll 6-4, 6-1.

Two Rivers also had a paif or doubles wins.

At Lincoln Park, Roncalli (6-2) had three singles wins of 6-0, 6-0 from Elizabeth Kuenzi (No. 1), Chloe Kitzerow (No. 3) and Laura Platteter (No. 4).

The No. 1 doubles team of Abby Halla and Tallie Piaskowski also won their match 6-0, 6-0. With the win the pair improved to 8-0 on the season.

Roncalli will next be in Stevens Point on Saturday at the SPASH invitational where they will take on Waunakee LaCrosse Aquinas and SPASH.
