Vestal’s James Mcintosh scored the lone goal in the first half and the Golden Bears beat visiting Ithaca, 1-0, on Wednesday night to secure the Southern Tier Athletic Conference Metro Division championship.
Eddie Basauldo was credited with the assist on Macintosh’s goal.
Vestal had 10 shots on goal and improved to 10-1 this season.
Elmira 4, Binghamton 0: The Express clinched a share of the STAC West title with the victory over the Patriots.
Elmira’s Alex Varkatzas scored three goals and his 23 goals this season are a single-season team record.
Johnson City 4, Susquehanna Valley 1: The Wildcats scored three goals in the second half in the victory over the Sabers.
Johnson City’s Hans Purtell and Nate Krome each had two goals. Susquehanna Valley’s goal was scored by Taylor Graham. Both teams are now 8-1 this season.
Oneonta 5, Windsor 1: The Yellow Jackets scored three goals to pull away in the second half against the Black Knights.
Ashkan Rahimi scored the lone goal for Windsor with an assist from Jason Schmidt.
Owego 6, Chenango Valley 1: The Indians (13-1) secured the STAC Central Division title with the victory.
Owego advances to the STAC semifinals on Friday against Vestal. Doubles partners Sam Slavetskas and Talia Lewis finished the regular season with a 14-0 record, and have not lost a set this season.
Binghamton 4, Union-Endicott 3: Allison Roma defeated Jennifer Amend, 6-0, 6-0 in first singles to help lead the Patriots.
Horseheads 6, Maine-Endwell 1: Horseheads clinched its 10th straight STAC West title with a 14-0 record.
