The Wall girls volleyball team clinched its first divisional title, winning Shore Conference Class A North with a 2-0 victory over visiting Red Bank on Thursday.

The Crimson Knights, now in their fifth year of play, shared the Class A North crown last season with Marlboro.

“It’s really neat to see how the hard work of our girls has paid off,” third-year coach Jared Musolf said. “They have stuck together as a team. We have seen the girls grow and improve each day. Our girls have taken it to the next step, the next level. The team’s chemistry has been outstanding.”

Wall (15-1, 11-0) beat the Bucs 25-18 and 25-14. The Crimson Knights have won 11 straight matches, all by 2-0 scores.

Wall senior outside hitter Olivia Hayes had 11 kills and three digs. Senior setter Alyssa Stansfield added two blocks, seven digs, four assists and four aces.

Senior setter Shannon Ward contributed six assists and freshman outside hitter-defensive specialist Katie Mitchell added five digs and three aces.

Senior setter Becka Zabilowicz keyed the Bucs (12-6, 7-4) with five kills, four digs and five aces. Junior outside hitter Abby Curtis added three digs and two aces.

RUMSON 2, POINT BEACH 0: Junior outside hitter Natalie Pellizzi’s two aces, four digs and four kills led the Bulldogs (9-5, 8-5) past the Garnet Gulls (8-6, 5-5) in Class B North.

Junior middle hitter Kate Edwards added three aces and five kills. Senior setter Amanda Hopcroft led the Garnet Gulls with eight assists.

COLTS NECK 2, HOWELL 0: Senior outside hitter Angela Zeck and senior defensive specialist Jackie Clarke led the Cougars (10-9, 5-5) past the Rebels in Class A North.

Zeck notched four aces, six digs and five kills. Clarke added four aces and seven digs. Junior outside hitter Tara Mircovich paced the Rebels with two aces, three kills and 10 digs and sophomore setter-opposite hitter Rebecca Franey added three aces, three kills and six assists.

IN NJSIAA TENNIS

MANASQUAN 3.5, RUMSON-FH 1.5: Gabrielle Longo defeated Kim Bach, 6-3, 6-3 at second singles and Brianne Lauria defeated Olivia Duddy 6-1, 6-0 at third singles as the No. 3 seed Warriors (10-4) defeated the No. 2 seed Bulldogs (12-4) in a Central Jersey Group II match. Rumson’s Kate Fahy defeated Abby Duddy, 6-0, 6-0 at first singles.

HOLMDEL 5, ROBBINSVILLE 0: Katie McKay had a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles for the Hornets’ (17-1) clinching point in their CJ Group II victory over the No. 4 seed Ravens (10-3).

RB CATHOLIC 4, BISHOP EUSTACE 1: Jenna Pellegrino won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Emma Giordano won at third singles 6-1, 6-1 as the second-seeded Caseys (14-3) defeated the No. 3 Crusaders (12-6).

POINT BEACH 5, SOUTH AMBOY 0: Elizabeth Tell (13-1) defeated Klaudia Masliwska 6-2, 6-4 at first singles and Katie Gaal (13-1) defeated Kim Hackshaw 6-0, 6-0 at second singles as the No. 2 seed Garnet Gulls (12-2) edged the No. 3 seed Governors (9-2) in CJ Group I.

BARNEGAT 4, CEDAR CREEK 1: Anna Prestera won her first-singles match 6-1, 6-0 and Colleen Anderson won her second-singles match 6-3, 6-1 as the No. 2 seed Bengals (19-3) defeated the No. 3 Pirates (11-5) in South Jersey Group II.

HOPEWELL VALLEY 4, WALL 1: The second-seeded Crimson Knights (14-2) got their point at first doubles when Amy Lutick and Amanda Harrold defeated Shannon Lonchar and Ashley Fennelly, 6-3, 6-4 in the CJ Group III match.

CHEROKEE 3, TR NORTH 2: Jordan Vasarkovy won her match at third singles 6-1, 6-2 and the second-doubles unit of Erin Collier and Sage Delaney won their match 7-5, 6-4.

IN FIELD HOCKEY

RUMSON-FH 6, MONMOUTH: Madison Maguire scored two goals as the Bulldogs (12-1, 11-0) defeated the Falcons (2-10, 1-8) to clinch the Class A Central title. Mary Kate Dengler scored one goal and led the team with three assists.

FREEHOLD 2, WALL 1: Junior Lauren Bock scored two goals as the Colonials (13-1, 11-0) held on for a Class B North win against the Crimson Knights (9-3-2, 9-2-1). Sydney Duven and Haley Meade each had an assist for the Colonials.

Wall’s Sam Grigoletto scored one goal and Nicole Kuerzi had an assist.

OCEAN 3, MATAWAN 0: Karly Gabraysiak, Kelli Shapiro and Emily Lang each scored as the Spartans (9-2-3, 8-2-1) shut out the Huskies (3-9, 3-7) in a Class B North game. Kelly Conway had two assists.

IN BOYS SOCCER

HOLMDEL 2, SJ VIANNEY 1: Gino D’Agostino dribbled down the left sideline and crossed the ball into the box to Eric Bulvid, who flicked it over the goalkeeper’s head to a waiting Jason Kyriacou. Kyriacou then headed it in from the 1-yard line and the ball hit the crossbar before it bounced into the net for the game-winning score 6:21 into overtime for the Hornets (11-1, 11-0). Kyriacou also had Holmdel’s first goal, which came at 59:42 as Zach Bond had the assist. St. John Vianney’s Bryan Walsh scored at 12:41 to give the Lancers (6-4-1, 6-4) a 1-0 lead.

IN GIRLS SOCCER

MANCHESTER 2, PINELANDS 1: Olivia Sumeriski, a junior midfielder, was fouled on a breakaway in the box and got awarded a penalty kick. She scored on the penalty kick with a shot to the lower right corner of the net at 61:00 as the Hawks (7-7-2, 6-6-2) defeated the Wildcats (5-7-1, 5-6-1) in Class B South.

MONSIGNOR DONOVAN 3, CENTRAL 2: Melissa Fitchner slotted a through ball to Erin Ruddy inside the box and Ruddy beat a defender and then shot a ball to the lower right corner for the game-winning goal at 66:00 as the Griffins (10-3) defeated the Golden Eagles (11-1-1).
