CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.

Warren Central showed why its the No. 3 team in Kentucky Class 5A, according to bluegrasspreps.com, as it rolled over previously undefeated Fort Campbell 58-13 Friday night at Fryar Stadium.

Twelve Warren Central running backs rushed for 426 yards on 52 carries, led by Darius Lancaster’s 107 yards. The Dragons jumped out to an early 12-0 lead before Triston Luke’s 25-yard touchdown run on the first play of the second quarter.

Warren Central pushed its lead to 30-7 at the half after two touchdowns before by Byron Carver, who caught four passes for 92 yards and three touchdowns. But the Dragons did their most damage early in the second half with three touchdowns in a span of three minutes.

Warren Central intercepted a pass and racked up 569 total yards to go with 22 first downs compared to 231 yards and six first downs for Fort Campbell. Luke finished with 202 yards on 24 carries for the Falcons.

Patriots overpower Knights

Henry County overpowered host Kenwood in a 59-26 win Friday Night.

Kenwood fell behind 14-0 after one quarter and never recovered, despite three running backs who rushed for more than 100 yards. Maleek Hall led the way with 221 yards and two touchdowns, while Michael Sutherland added 101 and Sam Lipsey racked up 104.

Quarterback Malcolm Perry had success on the ground as well, finishing with 76 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Stewart County dropped its second consecutive game with a loss to Waverly Friday night. The loss moves the Rebels to 1-2 and 0-1 in District 11-AA.

Montgomery Central couldn’t keep pace with District 11-AA rival Cheatham County Friday as the Cubs dominated throughout. The loss drops the Indians to 0-3 and 0-1 in District 11-AA while Cheatham remains perfect (3-0).
