All five of Waupun’s qualifying cross country runners finished in the top-10 of the Columbus Invite, which they won Monday. The Warriors scored 28 points topping second-place Portage by 29.
The domination started with race winner Andrew Klapper, who ran in 13:23 to beat teammate Bryce Verheyen by 24 seconds for the top spot.
Matt Kuik took seventh in 14:36, Josh Knowlton took eighth and the final point accumulating spot went to Bryce Buchda, who was 10th.
Waupun’s girls team took fifth with Hannah Smith leading the way with a time of 14:29. Ronna Woock was 22nd and Nicole Crescio took 29th.
