The Waupun American Legion baseball team flexed its muscles with a 17-7 win in six innings against Lomira/Theresa on Monday night in Waupun.
Jordan Hopp was 4-for-5, Collin Visser was 3-for-4 and Colin DeBoer and Jared Larsen both had two hits for the winning side.
Waupun (18-3, 10-2) took control of the game with a seven-run third inning. Visser led off the frame with a solo homer and then later in the inning, he hit a two-run double. He also pitched four innings for the win.
Jordan Beck had three hits for L/T, and Mason Sterr was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Sterr drove in two runs with a single in the top of the third, when L/T briefly took a 6-2 lead. Zach Weston pitched all six innings in the loss.
L/T hosts Ripon tonight at 7 p.m. in Brownsville.
