No. 2 Riverdale (4-0, 1-0) at No. 4 Siegel (4-0, 1-0)

Time, place: 7 p.m., Stars Stadium

Radio: WGNS (1450-AM, 100.5-FM, 101.9-FM)

Last meeting: Riverdale defeated Siegel 21-15 in 2011.

Key players to watch: Riverdale: WB/S Mariko Odom (127 rushing ypg, 58 receiving ypg, 7 tackles, 1 INT), QB Dillon Woodruff (110.8 passing ypg, 3 TDs), FB Peyton Phillips (51.3 rushing ypg, 27 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries), LB Brandon Stewart (34 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT). Siegel: QB Brent Stockstill (243.3 passing ypg, 8 TDs), RB Denzel Harding (98 rushing ypg, 9 TDs), WR/FS Tae Martin (75 receiving ypg 5 total TDs), LB Deionte Ewing.

Keys to the game: Both offenses are diverse enough to win through the air or on the ground. Look for either team to try and stop one or the other. Siegel’s quick-strike attack will combatted by Riverdale’s ability to put together long drives.

La Vergne (1-3, 1-0) at Smyrna (0-4, 0-1)

Time, place: 7 p.m., Robert L. Raikes Stadium

Online: MTSNOnline.com

Last meeting: Smyrna defeated La Vergne 45-13 in 2011.

Key players to watch: La Vergne: RB Daryl James (94.5 rushing ypg, 2 TDs), RB Willie Cowan (33 rushing ypg, 3 TDs), QB C.J. Fore (98.5 passing ypg), WR Quinn Jernighan (14 receiving ypg). Smyrna: RB Kyle Smith (50.7 rushing ypg, 3 TDs), QB Matt Rodell (29.5 passing ypg), WR Xavier Kynard (27.5 receiving ypg), DL Curtis Jones.

Keys to the game: Both teams need to establish the run. Smyrna’s defense has helped the Bulldogs’ offense in recent weeks with defensive scores and helping put Smyrna in good position. Turnvovers should be key tonight.

Eagleville (1-3, 0-1) at Community (1-3, 0-1)

Time, place: 7 p.m., Viking Stadium

Last meeting: Eagleville defeated Community 41-20 in 2011.

Key players to watch: Eagleville: QB Ryan Jordan (157.5 passing ypg, 6 TD, 2 INT), WR Andrew Jernigan (64.5 receiving ypg 4 TDs), RB Dakota Durand (53.3 rushing ypg), DL Jason Griffin (25 tackles). Community: Zach Greenwood (12 tackles last week), Quinn Frost (204 passing yards), RB Austin Lees (91 rushing yards last week), WR Jesse Cooper (146 receiving yards last week).

Keys to the game: Both teams desperately need a win. The Eagles’ passing game will give Community trouble. The Eagles’ secondary should be up for the task to slowing down Frost.

MTCS (0-4, 0-1) at Moore Co. (4-0, 1-0)

Time, place: 7 p.m., Raider Stadium

Last meeting: Moore Co. defeated MTCS 62-21 in 2011.

Online: Video streamed at TSSAANetwork.com

Key players to watch: MTCS: QB Brent Hofbauer (121.8 passing ypg), RB Tanner Green (27.3 rushing ypg), RB Zach Brandon (84 rushing yards last week), WR Justin Winn (56.3 receiving ypg). Moore Co.: QB J.P. Evans (73.3 rushing ypg, 39.5 passing ypg), RB Matt Taggett (79.8 rushing ypg), WR Dalton Barrier (13.8 receiving ypg).

Keys to the game: MTCS must find a way to slow down Evans, a hard-nosed player who is a good runner for the Raiders. MTCS must limit its turnovers and take advantage of opportunities in the red zone.

Cannon Co. (0-4, 0-1) at York Institute (3-0, 1-0)

Time, place: 7 p.m., Dragon Stadium

Radio: WBRY (96.7-FM, 1540-AM)

Last meeting: York defeated Cannon Co. 39-16 in 2011.

Key players to watch: Cannon Co.: QB Cody Petro, WR Justin Tobin, RB Hawk Love, WR Jarrett Melton. York Institute: QB Brannon McNellis, RB Sam Moore, RB Tyler Huddleston.

Keys to the game: Cannon County coach Brent Bush won’t be at the game due to choosing to go to the Tennessee Tech game at Oregon to watch his sons play for Tech. That is one less coach on a small staff. Cannon must find a way to move the ball, which has been a big struggle.
