Katie Williams rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles as St. Cloud Tech remained undefeated in Central Lakes Conference play with a 7-0 victory over Sartell in prep girls tennis action Tuesday afternoon at South Junior High.

Sam Boettcher and Steph Nardi won their match 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 doubles for the Tigers (7-0, 7-1).

St. Cloud Apollo/Sauk Rapids 0

COLD SPRING – Erin Porwoll defeated Katie Ford 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles as Rocori defeated St. Cloud Apollo/Sauk Rapids in Central Lakes Conference play.

Melissa Nierenhausen defeated Beauty Floers 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2 singles.

St. Cloud Cathedral 4, Mora 3

MORA – St. Cloud Cathedral (3-3, 8-9) swept all four singles matches and Mora won all three doubles matches as the Crusaders edged the Mustangs in Granite Ridge Conference action

Annandale 7, Litchfield 0

LITCHFIELD – Kaytlyn Kuessler won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles as Annandale rolled past Litchfield in Wright County Conference play.

Hannah Lisson and Lexie Arlt won at No. 2 doubles for the Cardinals (4-2, 11-4).

Sauk Centre 6, Benson 1

SAUK CENTRE – The Mainstreeters had wins from Mariah Rieland at No. 1 singles (6-2,6-3), and Bethany Ellis at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-2) in a West Central Conference victory. Sauk Centre improved to 12-3 on the season. The Mainstreeters’ only loss came at No. 4 singles.

Melrose 5, Minnewaska 2

MELROSE – Junior Grace Brang had an exciting match at No. 2 singles while fellow juniors Jailyn Brinkman and Kenedy Meyer had dominating wins in the No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches as Melrose – ranked ninth is Class A – defeated Minnewaska in nonconference play.

Brang eventually won a back and forth match in dominating fashion by notching sets of 7-5. 6-7, 6-0 to finish off her opponent. Brinkman ( No. 3 singles ) and Meyer (No. 4 singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 in two sets.

On Monday, Michaela Worms, Grace Brang, Jailyn Brinkman and Kenedy Meyer all won in singles play for Melrose in a 7-0 nonconference win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.

Osakis 7, Pierz 0

PIERZ – Sophomores Alexa Hoffarth and Hannah Szech were the victors at No. 3 and 4 singles respectively for Osakis in a nonconference win. Hoffarth won 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 and Szech won 6-4, 6-0.

Willmar 106, St. Cloud Apollo 80

WILLMAR – Rose Jackson won the 50 freestyle (26.87) for the Cardinals as they glided past Apollo in Central Lakes Conference action.

For Apollo, Emily Boysen won the 200 freestyle (2:12.03), Hannah Reichl was first in the 200 individual medley (2:32.18) and the 500 freestyle(5:56.46).

In addition, the Eagles also had first place finishes by Kara Bohlen in the 100 freestyle (59.26), and Erin Voigt won the diving (187.15).

Alexandria 104, Rocori 81

COLD SPRING – Rocori divers earned the top two spots but the Spartans couldn’t keep pace with Alexandria in a Central Lakes Conference matchup.

Sauk Rapids 53

Francesca Walker-Rozo won four events to lead St. Cloud Tech to a Central Lakes Conference win against Sauk Rapids at Tech High School.

Walker-Rozo won the 50 freestyle (26.34) and the 100 butterfly (1:06.14) and helped win the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.44) and the 200 medley relay (2:52.00).

Tech’s Katie Heller won the 200 freestyle (2:10.58), 100 breaststroke (1:15.31) and was part of the 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay teams.

Yemaya Hanna won the 100 backstroke (1:09.53), helped win the 400 free relay (4:08.95) and was part of the 200 medley relay team for the Tigers (1-2 overall).

Sartell 103, Brainerd 81

SARTELL – Ellen Bloom won the 200 individual medley (2:13.46) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.29) as Sartell paddled past Brainerd.

Paige Pawlenty set a personal-best time by winning the 500 freestyle (5:43.59) and Jennifer Thompson set a season-best time when she won the 50 freestyle (25.66).

Foley 100, Milaca 81

FOLEY – The Falcons broke pool records in the 200 freestyle and the 200 free relay while defeating the Wolves in Granite Ridge Conference action.

Foley’s Kasey Milstroh set a pool record while winning the 200 freestyle 2:04.20. Milstroh, along with Alisha Stemper, Tori Brua and Macie Wenner teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay 1:45.54.

Ashley Kurth had a personal best score to take first place in diving (191.65) for Foley (5-1). Sarah Forker was second for Milaca in diving (183.6).

Melrose 107, Albany 73

MELROSE – Gabi Sawyer set a pool record and won four events as Melrose paddled past Albany in nonconference action.

Sawyer set the record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.30, won the 100 backstroke (1:06.83) and helped win the 200 medley relay (1:59.76) and the 400 free relay (4:01.59).

Morgan Kingston had a season-high score of 195.40 on the diving board for the Dutchmen (4-1 overall).

Rachel Kulzer had a season-best time of 2:04.79 to win the 200 freestyle and also helped win the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.

Holdingford 125, Ogilvie 43

HOLDINGFORD – Brianna Dezurik won the 200 freestyle (2:42.13) and the 100 backstroke (1:34.63) — whole also swimming legs of Holdingford’s winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays — as the Huskers sank Ogilvie in nonconference action.

Gabby Langerud won the 100 freestyle (1:11.64) and the 100 breaststroke (1:34.43).


BIG LAKE – Big Lake’s Noel Olson took home first-place honors in the girls competion and Buffalo’s Dan Petit placed first for the boys at the Big Lake Invitational. Monticello won the girls team title and Buffalo won the boys competition.

Olson finished in 14:25 to take home top honors while Pettit notched a time of 16:22 earn a first-place finish.
