WILMINGTON – Fullback Tom Wilmoth rumbled 70 yards on a trap on the first play from scrimmage and Salesianum went on to blank Brandywine 42-0 in a nonconference game on Friday night at Baynard Stadium.

It was the only carry of the night for Wilmoth. Troy Reeder led the Sals with 72 yards and two touchdowns on runs of 11 and 10 yards. The game was ended with 1:30 to go in the third quarter because of a power outage.

Andrew McClelland also scored two touchdowns for Sallies on a 10-yard run and a 55-yard fumble return. Matthew Sgro added a 14-yard scoring run.

Caravel 41, Pennington (N.J.) 6

GLASGOW – Pierce Ripanti had eight rushes for 101 yards and two touchdowns as the Caravel Buccaneers opened their season with a win over The Pennington School (N.J.)

The Bucs pulled away early and took a 35-6 lead into halftime.

Ripanti also had three sacks and eight tackles. Derrick Groomes had 101 passing yards for the Bucs. Damon McKeill had two sacks and Matt Boyland had eight tackles for Caravel.

A.I. du Pont 40, McKean 0

MILL CREEK – A.I. du Pont scored on its first play from scrimmage and blanked host McKean.

Sophomore Quadree Henderson finished with three catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Tigers quarterback Ramsey Lowery hooked up on a 55-yard TD pass with Henderson to open the game. Lowery finished with 118 yards passing and 82 yards rushing.

Delaware Military 48, Seaford 14

SEAFORD – Sean Brown had six carries for 95 yards as DMA cruised past Seaford. Tevin Williams had six rushes for 44 yards. Kyle Sulecki had four carries for 34 yards and an interception return for 23 yards. Tyler Henderson’s lone rush went for a score.

Glasgow 29, Christiana 6

GLASGOW – Malcolm Strand-Young scored two touchdowns to lead Glasgow to a victory over Christiana.

Strand-Young, the Dragons’ quarterback, started off the Glasgow scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He later broke the game open in the third quarter with a 72-yard punt return that put the Dragons up 19-6.

Glasgow’s defense accounted for its other touchdowns, as Robert Brown recovered a fumble in the end zone and Jay Whalen returned an interception 40 yards for a score. Bright Simpson kicked a 36-yard field goal for Glasgow.
