Xavier 33, Green Bay Southwest 28

At Appleon, Michaela Machurick hit two free throws with less than a minute left to put the game out of reach for the Hawks against Green Bay Southwest.

Erin Powers had eight points to lead Xavier (9-1), with Aimee Conley and Erin Garvey adding six points each.

“It was a hard-fought game,” Xavier coach Brian Garvey said. “I thought Green Bay Southwest did a good job of handling the press. They tried to slow it down a little bit and played some good defense. Fortunately we hit some big shots.”
