That’s when the Warriors decided to have their best offensive inning of the season.

Waupun scored 10 runs in the sixth, sending 14 batters to the plate and went on to defeat Watertown 11-5.

It was the eighth consecutive regional championship for the Warriors (21-6), who host Waupaca in a sectional semfinal Teusday at 10 a.m.

“This was a credit to the group of guys we have,” Waupun co-coach Derrick Standke said. “There’s no quite in them and they kept fighting. To do it on this stage was great to see.”

Bryce Buchholz had a three-run double for the Warriors, while Colin DeBoer and Jared Larsen each went 2-for-4.
