Decent season?
Decent? I’d say it was a little bit better than decent. I was very proud of how we played this season. Those are my girls. They are so young. I was a little ‘iffy’ about it coming in, but they played hard, and they worked really hard in the offseason, too. It was a fun year.
Senior-itis?
It is a little bit tougher having to come back after missing all that school (for the state playoffs). I had all these makeup tests, but now I’m playing soccer, so I do have some distractions going on. It is getting pretty tough to keep those grades up, but I don’t want to take my exams at the end, so it’s a little easier to do.
Wrist prognosis?
I very rarely cry, but that was one of those days where I kind of, uh, it was a little tough. Me and my parents and coach (Jason Roberson) talked about it. We decided not to give up just yet. We went to see a specialist, and he told us, ‘Here’s a brace.’ I said, ‘I’ll take what I can get.’
Effect on game?
It is a little bit harder to dribble with it on and to shoot, but really it just took some practice. That’s all it was. It wasn’t too bad.
3,000 points?
I kind of had a little bit of an advantage starting in sixth grade (at East Memorial), so I think it was kind of expected. With the teammates I had, they helped me with all the points I got, with their assists and stuff like that.
