Madison Central (Richmond)
The Indians’ backstop hit .479 with six homers and 30 RBIs during the regular season. He has signed with Morehead State.

Drew Harrington
Central Hardin (Cecilia)
Kentucky’s Gatorade Player of the Year and a Louisville signee, Harrington led the Bruins to the state semifinals.

Connor Heady
North Oldham
USA Baseball alum was a first team All-State pick by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association. The senior shortstop signed with Kentucky.

JaVon Shelby
Tates Creek
The senior shortstop hit .379 with 27 RBIs and 20 stolen bases for the Commodores. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, for whom his father, John Shelby, is an outfield coach.

Will Smith
Kentucky Country Day
Louisville commit tore the cover off the ball this spring, hitting .519 with 11 homers and 28 RBIs to earn All-State first team honors. He also struck out 91 batters in 57.2 innings, posting a 0.97 ERA.

Kaleb Duckworth
Henderson County
Brought his big bat to bear for the Colonels this spring, homering in five consecutive games at one point and finishing with 11 HRs overall. Also stole 30 bases and led the team in RBIs from the leadoff spot.

Hunter Green

The state’s Mr. Baseball joined Clinton Hollon as the second Kentucky prep player selected in the second round of the 2013 MLB Draft, going No. 59 overall to the Angels. The 6-foot-4 southpaw let up just one run as a senior, averaging more than two strikeouts per inning.

The Toronto Blue Jays liked what they saw from Hollon, the runner-up for Kentucky’s Mr. Baseball award, enough to take him with the No. 47 overall pick in the MLB Draft.

Jordan Martin
Harrison County
The 6-foot-3 righty teamed with fellow senior Brandon Kendall to anchor the Thorobreds’ rotation, and Martin displayed an improved approach at the plate that he’ll bring to Wabash Valley in the fall.

Dustin Cartas
Logan County
Murray State signee was predominantly a catcher but filled in at other positions when needed. He earned KHSAA All-State first team honors and was named a Louisville Slugger High School All-American.
