* Ayinde Bakari, Blackman, Sr. — He returns after his first state tournament appearance ended with three wins at 132 pounds.

* Tyler Barber, Stewarts Creek, So. –At Blackman he missed making state at 195 by one match.

* Jeff Benson, Oakland, Sr. — The lone returning state qualifier for the Patriots, Benson looks to make it three straight trips at 285.

* Nick Boykin, Riverdale, Fr. — Younger brother of 2013 state wrestling champ, Scottie Boykin, the freshman is a solid addition for the Warriors at 220 pounds.

* Jevon Brown, Blackman, Sr. — He will go for his third straight state tourney. He will compete at either 182 or 195.

* Keydexon Brown, Smyrna, Sr. — A 29-8 junior season at 182 ended with a 1-0 loss in the region tourney. He bumps to 195 this season.

* Dylan Coggins, Stewarts Creek, So. — Made the state tournament at Blackman at 106 pounds, but was injured at state. Will bump up to 113-pound class.

* Ellis Dodson, Eagleville, Sr. — His state tournament debut ended with a sixth-place medal at 113 last season. He will wrestle at 113 and 120 this season.

* Jesse Escue, Blackman, Sr. — He will wrestle at 113 again after his run toward a third straight state tournament was cut short by injury.

* Josh Feuerbacher, Blackman, Jr. — Feuerbacher went from one win at state as a freshman to a fifth-place medal at 138 last season.

* Lane Folger, Siegel, Sr. — The second-year wrestler steps into the 145-pound class for former Star and fourth-place medalist, Kyle Coder.

* Tyler Garrison, Blackman, Jr. — The Region 5 champion posted three wins in his state debut, and missed medaling by one match at 152.

* Caleb Gentry, Riverdale, Jr. — He goes for his third straight state meet this season. He will compete this year at 132.

* Kaleb Gonyea, Stewarts Creek, Sr. — He missed out on the state tournament at 126 by one match a season ago at Smyrna. Will wrestle for his father, Mark Gonyea at Stewarts Creek.

* Nick Grant, Seigel, Sr. — He goes for his third state tournament this season after picking up three wins at 132 last season. He is expected to wrestle at 138 this season.

* Hayden Hammonds, Eagleville, So. — Qualified and won a state tourney match at 106 last season, he returns to compete at 113 or 120.

* Conner Helton, Stewarts Creek, Jr. — He picked up a win in his state tourney debut last season at 170 for Blackman. This season, he moves up to 182 for his new team.

* Weston Helton, Stewarts Creek, Sr. — Helton missed state by a match last season for Smyrna. He not only switches schools but weight classes, bumping from 145 to 160.

* Dustin Holmes, Siegel, Jr. — He missed out on state by one match last season at 170, but has plenty of potential and wrestling knowledge, according to coach Lee Ramsey.

* Sean Kennedy, Riverdale, Jr. — The defending Region 5 champ placed fifth at 170 pounds last season. He will wrestle at either 170 or 182 this year.

* Jacob Kimbrough, Blackman, Jr. — Made his first state tournament last season at 113 pounds. May bump up to 120 this season.

* Jordan Ligon, Smyrna, Jr. — He comes over from Blackman, and should be a spark at 145.

* Leroy Mayberry, La Vergne, Sr. — He missed making state by one match last season at 145. He is expected to compete anywhere from 145-160.

* Jake Meguiar, Stewarts Creek, Sr. — La Vergne’s lone state qualifier from a season ago, he is now the Red Hawks’ 170-pounder.

* John Olivieri, Stewarts Creek, So. — He appeared at state last season at 145 for Blackman, and with the move to Stewarts Creek also comes a move up to 152.

* Tyler Sells, Blackman, Sr. — The defending Region 5 champion looks to make his fourth straight state tournament. He will wrestle anywhere from 160-182 this season.

* Andrew Solomon, Eagleville, Sr. –The Eagles have big hopes for another Solomon. Andrew jumps from 145 to either 152 or 160.

* Stephen Thomas, Siegel, Sr. — His state tournament debut resulted in three wins at 126 last season. He is expected to jump up a class to 132.

* Jordan Vaughn, Siegel, Sr. — A late pin in the region tournament kept him out of state by one match at 160.

* Austin Wells, Blackman, Sr. — The highest returning medalist in the county, the Region 5 titlist will go for his third straight state tournament after finishing fourth last season at 285.
