Happy with season?

I was satisfied. It felt good to make it to Birmingham and have a chance at it. Some teams wish they could make it there, and we were fortunate enough to get there, so I feel great about the season.

1-on-1 vs. Gus Malzahn?

I’m looking forward to it. I know he’s going to cheat. He says no quarterback he’s ever coached has beat him, so I’m going to be the first. I’m going to take him down low. I know he’s kind of old, and I’m just going to bang with him. He’s going to quit after that. I know the referees are going to be on his side, like they were at the state tournament. I know I’m going to be cheated again, but that’s all right.

No baseball this spring?

I’m going to rest, start working out and get ready for college. I haven’t played baseball since I was 12. I could pitch, but I probably couldn’t hit. I was good, but I couldn’t hit. I pitched, played center field and first base.

Carver legacy?

I’m going to be remembered as a student-athlete. I did my schoolwork, and I performed well in the classroom and on the court. I hope I’m going to be one of the best that’s come through. I do my schoolwork before I start doing anything.

Eager for Auburn?

It’s going to work out great. I’ll still be a student first and perform well on the team. I’m looking forward to getting there. I’m excited and ready.

Well, you’re still ugly.

I’ve never been ugly.
