Colbert County’s Ryan Carpenter and Athens’ Paxton Schrimsher won the state high school football player of the week awards for the second round of the playoffs.
Carpenter ran 36 times for 374 yards and four touchdowns, including the winning 1-yarder in overtime, in a 45-44 Class 3A victory over Glencoe. His other TDs were for 64, 23 and 52 yards.
Schrimsher made two interceptions, returning one 65 yards for a touchdown, in a 24-0 Class 5A win over Pleasant Grove.

Kendrick Doss, Florence: Was 10-of-18 passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score in the final minute, of a 37-30 win over Clay-Chalkville. Ran for 104 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
Marlon Bridges, Lanett: Totaled 309 yards rushing and six touchdowns in a 46-41 victory over Fultondale. Has 2,164 yards in 11 games this year.
Sage Ledbetter, Auburn: Kicked a 37-yard field goal with 2:17 to play in a 23-20 win over Foley.
Cade Stinnett, Enterprise: Kicked two field goals, including a 50-yarder with 2 seconds left in regulation, of a 41-34 double-overtime loss to Smiths Station.
Lamarcus Adair, Pike Co.: Ran for 218 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a 32-18 loss to Bayside Academy.
Jakoby Aldridge, Sweet Water: Rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in a 34-3 victory over G.W. Long.
Jermarcus Brown, Pickens Co.: Rushed for 259 yards on 23 carries and scored five touchdowns in a 38-22 win over Addison. Had four TD runs to set a school record with 44 this season and caught a 3-yard touchdown pass.
Tyler Cameron, Foley: Ran for one score and threw two touchdown passes in a 23-20 loss to Auburn.
Ronnie Clark, Calera: Ran for 222 yards on 30 carries with two scores and threw a 27-yard touchdown pass in a 35-24 loss to Dadeville.
Dantley Coker, Southside-Gadsden: Rushed 38 times for 193 yards in a 28-21 win over Cullman.
Dallas Cockerham, Lamar Co.: Ran for 225 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries in a 40-34 loss at Mobile Christian.
Tyus Flakes, Auburn: Ran for 234 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a 23-20 win at Foley.
Maison Goodwin, Cullman: Had six catches for 132 yards, including an 18-yard TD reception, in a 28-21 loss to Southside-Gadsden.
Taylor Hawthorne, Edgewood: Threw for 243 yards and a touchdown, ran for 69 yards and a score and caught a 12-yard TD pass in a 35-20 win over Wilcox Academy.
Jamarius Henderson, Dale Co.: Ran for 200 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns in a 29-20 loss to Straughn.
Hayden Huckabee, Marengo Aca.: Rushed for 139 yards on 10 carries, scored on a 93-yard kickoff return and a 50-yard run and threw a touchdown pass in a 44-14 win over Abbeville Christian.
Danny Johnson, J.O. Johnson: Completed 5 of 9 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns (each to twin brother DeVon) and scored on a 12-yard run in a 58-14 win over Haleyville.
John Johnson, Charles Henderson: Rushed for 229 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns and caught five passes for 96 yards with a 60-yard TD in a 35-0 win over Childersburg.
Jordan Johnson, Vestavia Hills: Had 109 yards rushing on 20 attempts with a 10-yard score and an 82-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 31-28 win over Bessemer City.
Marcus Key, Bessemer City: Completed 16 of 20 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown and ran for 41 yards and three scores in a 31-28 loss to Vestavia Hills.
Jaylon Lyles, Central-Clay Co.: Rushed for 209 yards on 24 carries and a score in a 23-6 win over Bibb County. Has 2,055 yards this season.

Kaleb Estill, Addison: Recovered a fumble, had a pair of tackles for loss and caught a 41-yard pass on a fake punt to extend an eventual scoring drive in a 38-22 loss to Pickens County.
Darnell Jackson, Piedmont: Returned the second-half kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown in a 20-19 win at Deshler.
Walter Little, St. Paul’s: Returned a fumble 91 yards for a touchdown for the game’s first score in a 20-14 overtime win at Benjamin Russell.
Carson McGregory, Deshler: Booted field goals of 29, 31, 31 and 23 yards in a 20-19 loss to Piedmont.
Avery Reid, Oneonta: Had a 41-yard interception return for a touchdown, five tackles and two pass breakups in a 56-7 victory over Jacksonville. On offense, ran for three touchdowns.
John Wesley Williamson, Spanish Fort: Collected two of his team’s four sacks as the Toros held the Sylacauga offense to just 81 total yards in a 44-7 victory.
