MICHAEL CLARKE
School: Rumson-Fair Haven
Year: Senior
Position: Attack
Highlights: Clarke is a four-year player and a three-year starter for the Bulldogs and he led the Bulldogs to the Class A Central, Shore Conference Tournament and NJSIAA South Group 1 titles. Clarke led his team in goals (50), assists (35) and points (85) this season. All three categories were career highs. He had his best game of the season May 21 when he had six goals and three assists as the Bulldogs defeated Shore Regional, 12-8. For his career, Clarke finished with 110 goals (a school record) and 96 assists for 206 points. He will play lacrosse at the University of Vermont.
ALEC DAMBACH
School: Howell
Year: Senior
Position: Attack
Highlights: Dambach led his team in goals (41), assists (59) and points (100) this season and accounted for over 58 percent of his team’s offense. He also had 114 groundballs and 36 caused turnovers and led the team in those categories too. Dambach, a four-year starter, was a team captain the last two seasons and finished his career with 303 career points (140 goals, 163 assists). He recently was invited to US Lacrosse’s All-American Showcase in Florida. He will play lacrosse at Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia, PA).
DAN BLOODGOOD
School: Freehold Township
Year: Senior
Position: Attack
Highlights: Bloodgood had a career year after he had 76 goals and 39 assists, which were team highs, and helped the Patriots reach the quarterfinals of the Shore Conference Tournament this season. He also had 12 forced turnovers and led the team in points (115). For his career he finished with 152 goals and 93 assists for 245 points. He will play lacrosse at Monmouth University.
DYLAN JINKS
School: Southern
Year: Sophomore
Position: Attack
Highlights: Jinks led the powerful Rams offense with 53 goals and 33 assists for 86 points. His 53 goals tied a team-high with Brendan Mullen and his 33 assists were second on the team behind Tyler Lipositz. For his career, Jinks has 105 goals and 63 assists for 168 points. He joined his older brother, Nick, on the first team this year.
MIKE SPECHT
School: Jackson Memorial
Year: Senior
Position: Midfielder
Highlights: Specht is a two-time first-team selection and a four-year starter that had 29 goals and 37 assists for 66 points this season. Defensively, he had 81 groundballs and helped the Jaguars reach the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. For his career, Specht finished with 75 goals and 50 assists for 125 points. He will play lacrosse at Elizabethtown College (Pa).
JOE MURPHY
School: Manasquan
Year: Junior
Position: Midfielder
Highlights: Murphy had a career-high 47 goals to go along with seven assists for 54 points. His seven assists tied his career-high from 2011. Defensively, he also had 64 groundballs. Thus far in his career, Murphy has 93 goals, 18 assists for 111 points and he has 189 groundballs.
CHRIS HUBLER
School: Rumson-Fair Haven
Year: Junior
Position: Midfielder
Highlights: Hubler was an electrifying midfielder this season often making one spectacular play after another to give the Bulldogs the advantage in the center of the field. He’s a two-year starter and finished with 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points. Defensively, he had 54 groundballs and three takeaways. Hubler has committed to play lacrosse for John Hopkins University.
JESSE PHALANUKORN
School: Shore
Year: Senior
Position: Midfielder
Highlights: Phalanukorn helped form the foundation of the boys lacrosse program over the last three years at Shore and finished off his three-year stint with a career year. His 52 goals, 17 assists, 69 points and 68 groundballs were all career highs. He is also the first Shore Regional boys lacrosse player to be picked to the first-team. He was a three-year captain and a three-year starter. He finished his career as the school’s all-time leader in goals (104) and points (144). He also had 40 assists and 127 ground balls in his career. He will attend Rowan University and play lacrosse on the school’s club team.
J.T. JENNINGS
School: Rumson-Fair Haven
Year: Junior
Position: Defender
Highlights: Jennings was the Bulldogs’ top defender on their ferocious defense that allowed a measly 4.6 goals per game this season. Rumson-Fair Haven also had one shutout with a 14-0 victory over Monsignor Donovan on April 24. He helped the team win its third straight and fourth overall SCT title and the school’s first NJSIAA South Group I title. Individually, he had 19 groundballs and 26 takeaways.
NICK JINKS
School: Southern
Year: Senior
Position: Defender
Highlights: Jinks was a four-year starter and helped the Rams make history in many ways. He was the team’s top defender and became a two-time first-team selection this season. Individually, he had 80 groundballs and 50 takeaways this season. For his career he had 232 groundballs and 142 takeaways. He helped the school reach the Shore Conference Tournament Final for the first time in school history. Southern also won the school’s first NJSIAA South Group IV title and appeared in the NJSIAA Group IV final for the first time in school history. The Rams allowed only 4.5 goals per game this season and had one shutout with a 15-0 victory over Toms River North on May 18. He will play lacrosse at Eastern University (Pa.)
PAT DUGGAN
School: Jackson Memorial
Year: Senior
Position: Defender
Highlights: Duggan became a two-time first-team selection after being one of Jackson Memorial’s top defenders this season. His outstanding defensive play helped Jackson Memorial reach the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals. Individually, the three-year starter had 97 groundballs and also had five goals and two assists. The Jaguars were once again one of the top defensive teams in the Shore Conference as they allowed only 5.1 goals per game. He will attend the University of Pennsylvania and attempt to walk onto the lacrosse team.
RYAN ANZALONE
School: Colts Neck
Year: Senior
Position: Defender
Highlights: The Cougars were competitive in the Class A North division this season and Anzalone was a big part of that success as Colts Neck finished tied for third in the division. Individually, Anzalone had 107 ground balls, 53 takeaways on defense and on offense he had two assists. For his career, Anzalone was a three-year starter, a two-year captain and finished with 255 groundballs and two goals and four assists. He will play lacrosse at Montclair State University.
BILL DOWD
School: Southern
Year: Junior
Position: Specialist
Highlights: Dowd was the catalyst of the Rams offense this season with his ability to win faceoffs. This season, Dowd won 311 faceoffs with a remarkable .770 winning percentage. For his career, Dowd was a three-year starter at specialist and has won 652 faceoffs and has a .702 winning percentage.
DYLAN ROTCHFORD
School: Rumson-Fair Haven
Year: Senior
Position: Goalie
Highlights: Rotchford, a career defender, volunteered to play goalie this season to fill a void for the Bulldogs. In his one and only season as a goalie, Rotchford shined in his new position. He faced 218 shots this season, made 153 saves and had a save percentage of .702. He will play lacrosse at the University of Mississippi.
