We're counting down the Top 10 male and female all-time Ultimate Athletes. Previously: No. 10 female Ultimate Athlete – Lolo Jones. Coming tomorrow: The No. 9 all-time male Ultimate Athlete.
10. LeBron James
Anointed the “next big thing” at a young age and managed to exceed unreal expectations after being selected with the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Cavilers in the 2003 NBA Draft.
Why Him: For the better part of his NBA career, James has been widely regarded as the most athletic player in the NBA; quite a feat since the league is home to some of the world’s greatest athletes. James has won four NBA MVP’s and back-to-back titles and has said in the past that before he’s done he wants to try football.
Ultimate Moment: June 7, 2012. James dropped 45 points and snagged 15 rebounds to lead the Heat past the Celtics, 98-79, and force Game 7 in the Eastern Conference finals. James went on to claim his first NBA title.
Funky Fact: Has a habit of biting his nails during games, which he says has nothing to do with nerves.
