Chaz Mack, Tucson Catalina Foothils, F: The 6-foot-6 junior scored 42 points Friday night on the road, leading his team to a 75-73 upset of then No. 1 ranked Laveen Cesar Chavez. It was Chavez’s second loss of the season.

Drew Bender, Phoenix Pinnacle, G: The 6-5 senior scored 21 points, including a pair of 3-pointers during a 31-12 third quarter, leading the Pioneers to an 85-60 rout of rival Scottsdale Desert Mountain.

Ryan Berg, Scottsdale Saguaro, G: The senior scored 42 points, making 11 of 15 3-pointers, in a loss to Paradise Valley.

Naveirio Holmes, Phoenix Sunnyslope, G: He had 25 points and six assists, leading Sunnyslope to 62-58 victory over then third-ranked Phoenix Shadow Mountain in a Division II game.

Kyler Ashley, Fort Defiance Window Rock, G: He had 25 points, and made a steal and layup late in overtime to lift his team to an 80-79 victory over rival Chinle.

Keaton Ranger, Gilbert Christian, G: The 6-3 junior had 26 points, making 7 of 10 shots, 3 of 4 from behind the 3-point arc and 9 of 10 free throws in a 76-65 win over Chandler Valley Christian. It was the third time this season Gilbert Christian beat Valley Christian, a top-10 team in Division III.
