Katie Werner, Phoenix Xavier, Sr.: The 6-1 scorer extraordinaire was unstoppable in Xavier’s 47-35 first-round win over Anthem Boulder Creek in the Division I state tournament, scoring 24 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.

Raina Perez, Goodyear Millennium, Fr.: The frosh accounted for 24 points and six steals in Millennium’s 64-45 win over Surprise Valley Vista in the first round of the Division I state tournament.

Shay Heredia, Tolleson, Sr.: Tolleson’s dangerous shooting guard had 18 points, 10 assists and five steals in a 53-35 win over Vail Cienega in the first round of the Division I state tournament.

Britta Nordstrom, Phoenix Pinnacle, Sr.: Nordstrom took the scoring reins from fellow senior Sydney Wiese for the night, pouring in 27 points and grabbing eight rebounds in Pinnacle’s 66-38 win over Mesa Mountain View in the second round of the Division I state tournament.

Casey Rarrick, Scottsdale Saguaro, Jr.: Rarrick had 27 points and six steals to lead Saguaro to a 66-48 win over Phoenix Washington in the second round of the Division II state tournament.

Mariah Kempf, Glendale Joy Christian, Sr.: Kempf had a monster two-game run in the Division IV state tournament, recording 23 points, seven rebounds and nine steals in a 68-46 first-round win over Tucson Green Fields Country Day and then scoring 27 points in a 51-42 second-round loss to Salome.
