Division 1

Appleton North 8, Wisconsin Rapids 2

At Appleton, the Lightning (12-7) advanced to Thursday’s regional final after breaking its game open with a six-run fifth.

Jordyn Van hit a leadoff single. Megan Kohlmetz, Kennedy Taylor and Hayley Johnson followed with singles. Hannah Johnson then hit a bases-loaded triple.

Ashwaubenon 8, Appleton West 3

At Ashwaubenon, Danie Desseart had a two-run home run to lead the Jaguars to the win over the Terrors.

Division 2

New London 3, Xavier 0

At New London, Shelby Sommers allowed four hits and one walk while striking out nine to lead the Bulldogs (12-5).

Sommers drove in the only run the Bulldogs needed when her first-inning single to center scored Alanna Beyer.

At Wrightstown, the Mustangs trailed 5-0 after three innings before storming back.

Tori Landsverk was four-for-four with a double and three RBI and Shannon Huray also drove in three runs for Little Chute.

Calder finished four-for-five with three RBI.

Holly Pingel pitched all eight innings for the Chiefs (14-5), striking out five and walking five.

Block also drove in two runs with a first-inning double after Wendy Kons and Sam Johnson had reached base on a walk and a single.

The game was played at Manawa due to rain at Wabeno.
