Cardinals down Indians
Seton Catholic defeated Union City 13-3 in five innings on Monday at McBride Stadium.
Nathan Brouse went 3-for-4 for the Cardinals, with Dylan Reichley adding a triple and three runs scored. Adam Schroeder earned the pitching victory.
Seton (15-10) was coming off the Catholic Classic tournament over the weekend. Seton fell to Lafayette Central Catholic 1-0, Scecina 2-0 and Guerin Catholic 6-2.

Knights win
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Ind. – Mason Slinker and Conner Silvers each drove in two runs Monday as Northeastern halted Eastern Hancock 11-8.
Slinker, Kelsy Kirkland and Ben Claywell all had two hits for the Knights (13-9), who play today at Lincoln.

Patriots win tournament
Union County won the Big Cat Classic, defeating Anderson Prep 10-0 in five innings before knocking off Elwood 14-4 in five.
Hunter Miller, Bryce Fields, Austin Fuller, Hunter Hartman and Shane Mosley all had two RBIs against Elwood, with Jullian Snyder earning the pitching win.

Blazers fall in sectional
SALEM, Ohio – West Liberty Salem eliminated National Trail from the Ohio Division III sectional tournament Monday by halting the Blazers 6-0.
Jenn Stan went 2-for-3 for National Trail (7-18) in the Blazers’ season finale.

Bulldogs sweep Tri High
STRAUGHN, Ind. – Centerville swept TEC foe Tri High in a Saturday doubleheader with an 11-0, five inning win in the TEC game, followed with a 12-4 victory.
Hannah Newland pitched the two-hit shutout in the first game, while Destiny Maitlen had a double and two RBIs, Alexis Cox had a double and two singles, driving in three, and Newland went 3-3 with two RBIs. Alexx Marshall had two hits and drove in a run as well.
In the second game, Amanda Wilson was the winning pitcher, and Kayla Miller had two hits and two RBI,s and Kaylin Smith drove in two runs. Cox contributed another double and Newland had two more hits and three RBIs.

LIBERTY, Ind. – Union County defeated Randolph Southern 180-208 on Monday.
Randolph Southern’s Ian Gough was medalist with 36. Cody Frame shot 44 to lead the Patriots (11-3).

Red Devils fall to Trojans
New Castle defeated Richmond 6-1 on Monday.
Jordan Christian went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a triple for the Red Devils (4-3), who play Thursday at Cathedral.

Pendleton stops Richmond
PENDLETON, Ind. – Richmond dropped a 14-7 decision to Pendleton Heights on Monday.
Sadie Hemingway and Hannah Goddard each went 3-for-4 for the Red Devils (6-3).
Middle school track
Richmond wins
Richmond defeated Seton Catholic on Monday, winning the boys meet 81-18 and the girls meet 51-36.
Individual boys winners for Richmond included Logan Mayer (200), Doug Penn (shot put, discus), Thomas Stanley (long jump, 100), T.J. Henemyre (800), Daniel Hill (110 hurdles) and Blake Vanlandingham (high jump).
Individual girls winners for Richmond included Leave Thomas (shotput), Paityn Farris (200), Sydney Moore (100), Taryn Twine (long jump) and Alexus Perkins (100 hurdles).
Seton Catholic’s Jenna Barker finished her season undefeated in all events as she won the 800 and 1,600 for the Cardinals.
Seton’s Suzi Quigg also won the 400 to stay undefeated in that event.
Jacob Berger was first in the 400 and Nick Berger won the 1,600 for the Seton boys.
