Central Magnet’s girls and boys both won their golf match at Cedar Crest Golf Club on Thursday.
Central’s boys (161) beat Eagleville (181), Middle Tennessee Christian School (183) and Community (186).
Central scores included: Colton Miller (37), Jordan Reynolds (40), T.C. Hayes (42) and Michael Chan (42). Dakota Beech led Eagleville with a 41. Ian Harper had a 41 for MTCS, and Barron Corley added a 42.
Central’s girls scored an 87 to defeat Eagleville (96) and Community. Abbey Burgdorf was low medalist with a 40, and Lexi Marshall scored a 47. Brooklyn Snell had a 44 for Eagleville, and Kenya Hackney posted a 52.
High School Volleyball
Riverdale 3, La Vergne 0
Riverdale (4-0, 2-0) defeated La Vergne 25-9, 25-9, 25-6. Kirsten Inman posted 28 assists. Jena Goodman led the Warriors with 24 service points followed by Brittany Clement’s eight and Inman’s seven. Rachel Vehr had a team-high nine kills.

Colleen Kennedy scored two goals and Megan Woods added the third in Blackman’s district opener.
MTCS 7, Middle Tenn. Crusaders 0
Ashlynd Wilkerson racked up five goals, and Paige Willhite added two more goals for Middle Tennessee Christian School (2-0). Assists were recorded by Lauren Jennings (three), Erin Jennings, Leah Stinson, Kayla Jones and Emma Stinson. Holly Bowman had five saves at keeper, and Leah Stinson added four stops.

Oakland improved to 2-0 in district play with the win. Faith Adams (two), Katie Webb, Zoey Montgomery, Grace Lovinski and Madison Cummins scored goals for Oakland.
