ROMEROVILLE, Ill.

Senior point guard David Peterson had 21 points — including five 3-pointers — as St. Cloud Christian School emerged victorious in the first varsity boys basketball team in school history — dowing Calvin Christian 63-56 Monday night at St. Cloud Cathedral High School.

Alec Syvrud added 14 points and Ryan Wilson finished with 10.

Nathan Mulder had 31 points to lead Calvin.

Granite City 11, Topeka 3

David Horsmann led the offensive charge in the Granite City Lumberjacks’ 11-3 win against Topeka Monday at the NA3HL Showcase.

Horsmann netted a hat trick with one assist and six other Lumberjacks recorded at least two points.

Drew Otto scored a goal with three assists, Aidan Verbeke had a goal and two assists and Morgan Martelle had two assists.

Mitch Gwost, Alex Carson and Christian Mohs all had a goal and an assist each.
