Savannah Nixon recorded a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds as the Gulf Breeze girls basketball team topped Bay 48-31 on Monday night at Gulf Breeze.

The Dolphins got 10 points each from Shelby Pliska and Maddie Grace McCurdy in the win.

Gulf Breeze returns to the court at 7 p.m. today when the Dolphins travel to rival Catholic.

Shamina Hunter had 15 points and six steals, and Akilah Muhammad had four points, six steals and six assists as PHS defeated Tate 52-11.

Njeri Nelms pitched in eight points, seven steals and four assists for the Tigers, who return to the court at 6 p.m. today when they host Milton.

Edward Dominey scored 20 points and added 10 rebounds, seven assists and three steals as East Hill topped Cavalry Christian 58-37.

Spencer White and Nate Roberts each scored in double digits, adding 17 and 11 points, respectively.

The Eagles will play Escambia Charter at Woodham Middle School at 5:30 p.m. today.

PSC falls to Wallace

L.B. Wallace defeated Pensacola State for its third win of the season on Monday, 70-60.

PSC’s three-point shooting doomed them in the early going as the Pirates ended the first half 1-11 behind the arc. The Pirates finished the game shooting 4-22 from long range.
