Grade: Senior
Position: Forward
Height: 5-foot-7
Weight: 135 pounds

Athletic achievement: He scored 35 goals and passed for 10 assists this past season, leading the Rebels to a 10-9-2 record. Carson missed FS-Southside’s first four games of the season on a trip to Costa Rica with the U.S. Youth Soccer Region III Olympic Development Program team. The 2012 Class 7A West Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Carson concluded his prep soccer career with 77 goals.

Academic excellence: Carson has maintained a 3.64 GPA.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and as part of multiple community service initiatives in association with his church youth group.


“Wes Carson can turn a game on its head in a flash and truly has game-changing talent,” said DJ Beeler, head coach of Springdale (Ark.). “He is extremely important to his team’s success.”

THE FUTURE: Carson has signed with Central Arkansas.
