WAUPACA – Four different plaers scored goals as the Assumption girls soccer team showed Waupaca it wasn’t a one-girl show.
Martha Hokamp got the Royals on the board 1 minute, 5 seconds into the game as the Royals rolled to a 4-1 victrory over the Comets Friday during a nonconfernece game.
Playing up a division didn’t seem to bother the Royals at all as they improved to 11-0-1.
“The girls played a tight possession and passing attack to control the game,” Royals coach John Bingham said. “Our defense marked tight and allowed Waupaca few opportunities and we had a lot of different girls score which as great to see.”
Scoring leader Mary Sigler didn’t score a goal, but was credited with an assists.

MERRILL – Madison Bogie hit a three-run home run in the second inning and Vikki Getsinger added a solo shot in the fourth to lead the Raiders to a Wisconsin Valley Conference win over the Bluejays.
The Bluejays’ Lindsey Krueger hit a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning.
