Leinaar came through for the Panthers when they needed him most, knocking down a pair of free throws in overtime to lift his team to a 50-46 win over Pennfield. He finished with a game-high 25 points along with 10 rebounds and six assists, and followed with 13 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in a loss to Schoolcraft.

Oswalt provided the clutch moment in what was the biggest win of the season for a talented Indians squad. The junior notched the game-winning basket with 1-second left as Athens topped Big Eight Conference champion Concord, 48-47. She finished the game with 17 points, five rebounds and four steals. Concord entered the matchup as the sixth-ranked team in Class C, while the Indians are honorable mention in Class D.

Lakeview boys’ swimming & diving
Vann was a part of four first-place finishes during Saturday’s SMAC East Division Meet, helping Lakeview claim its 14th consecutive division crown. Notably, he was part of the 200 medley relay team that tied the SMAC East record and set a Battle Creek Central pool record with a time of 1:39.98, while also setting a pool record in the 200 individual medley at 1:59.87.
