Baseball: Rocky Mountain knocks off Chaparral to stay unbeaten in Colorado

Rocky Mountain beat Chaparral 5-4 in a non-league game Saturday at Coors Field.

Both teams came in ranked in the top ten (Chaparral-2, Rocky Mountain-7) and neither team had lost a game to an in state opponent.

Spencer Ibarra’s double to left-center in the bottom of the sixth inning scored two runs and gave Rocky Mountain the lead for good. The Lobos improve to (11-2, 7-0) and will play Legacy on Monday.

The Wolverines fall to (13-3, 8-0) and will play at Rock Canyon on Monday.
