Mike Alescio drove in three runs to lead host Red Bank Catholic to a 5-1 win over Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday in a nondivisional game at Count Basie Park.

Red Bank Catholic (6-1) is ranked No. 2 in the Asbury Park Press Top 10. CBA (3-3) is ranked No. 6. It is the fourth straight time over the last four seasons the Caseys have defeated the Colts.

Alescio hit a two-run single to center for a 2-1 lead in the second and capped the scoring with an RBI single to left-center in the sixth.

Senior right-hander Mike Rescigno (2-0) pitched three-hit ball over the first 62/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked six.

COLTS NECK 4, OLD BRIDGE 1: Junior Robbie Warendorf pitched five innings of one-hit ball and Lucien DellaFera went 3-for-4 and scored two runs as the Cougars (4-2) defeated the Knights (2-5) in a nonconference game.

Gianni Magliaro had a two-out double in the seventh to score DellaFera and also pitched the last two innings to earn the save

MONTCLAIR 7, FREEHOLD TWP. 3: Chris Vincent belted a grand slam and Sam Ackerman a two-run homer in the first as the Mounties (2-4) built a 6-1 lead and went on to defeat the Patriots (2-5) in a nonconference game.

Senior second baseman Matt Alimena had a two-run homer in the second inning for Freehold Township.
