Basketball: Dominique Collier commits to CU

By

DENVER – Dominique Collier, who is one of the top recruits in the state of Colorado, announced today that he has verbally committed to play basketball for the University of Colorado.

Collier, who is only a Junior, has been recognized on the 9NEWS All Colorado Boys Basketball team, along with being named Gatorade player of the year in the state and the Denver Post’s Mr. Colorado Basketball.

Last season, Collier helped lead Denver East to the 5A state final, averaging 20 points a game before suffering a heartbreaking loss to Eaglecrest.

Kansas State, Iowa, Stanford and UCLA were among the final schools Collier had narrowed it down to, but in the end, he decided that CU was the best fit.
