LOUISVILLE – The Monarch Coyotes edged out the Valor Christian Eagles 62-60 in overtime to hand them their first loss of the season.
The Coyotes found themselves down ten points heading into the fourth quarter. But with the help of Raegen Rohn who led all scorers with 25 points on the night, they tied it up to go to overtime. In overtime the Coyotes outscored the Eagles six to four to earn the win.
Monarch (2-1) faces Cherokee Trail on Thursday while Valor Christian’s (5-1) next challenge is in the Heritage Hoopla Tournament which starts on Thursday as well.
