Lauren Belskie scored two goals and Kate Roslon added a goal as the Hillsborough High School field hockey team was victorious, 3-0, over Old Bridge in the first round of the NJSIAA North 2 Group IV tournament on Wednesday afternoon in Hillsborough.

All three goals for the eighth-seeded Raiders came in the first half, as they advanced to Monday’s quarterfinal against top-seeded Hunterdon Central.

Gianna Napoletano contributed an assist in the win and goalie Ursula Zadzilko made one save for the shutout for the Raiders.

Allison Parrett made one save for ninth-seeded Old Bridge (2-14-2).

In other North 2 Group IV field hockey

Montgomery 3, Piscataway 0: Lizzy Finnegan, Kate Hackett, and Caiomhe Tyndall all recorded goals and Philly Lumsden notched two assists as sixth-seeded Montgomery advanced to face third-seeded South Brunswick in the quarterfinals. Hannah Isaacs made 21 saves for 11th-seeded Piscataway (2-16-2).

West Windsor-Plainsboro North 2, Franklin 1 (OT): Jada Foster netted a first half goal on an assist from Kierra Copperthwaite in the first half and Janelle Melecio made 12 saves as 10th-seeded Franklin (8-10-2) fell in overtime.

North 1 Group IV first round

Westfield 4, Union 2: Sophie Bass, Paige Carlin, Colleen Kelly, and Emily Mastrocola each scored a goal to lead eighth seeded Westfield (4-13-2) past ninth-seeded Union (3-16). The Blue Devils will get top-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in the quarterfinals.

North Hunterdon 2, Columbia 1: Jamie Ruggiero netted a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the second half, as 12th-seeded North Hunterdon (2-14-1) got past fifth-seeded Columbia (6-12-2). The Lions will face fourth-seeded Morris Knolls in the quarterfinals.

Livingston 3, Watchung Hills 1: Carly Sinnott scored on an assist from Courtney Lane and Rachel Toubin made nine saves as 10th-seeded Watchung Hills (3-15-2) fell.

In girls soccer

Pingry 2, Montgomery 0: Rachel Corboz scored a pair of goals in the 19th and 78th minutes as Pingry clinched the Skyland Conference Delaware Division with the win. Emma Thomas made six saves for the Big Blue while Montgomery keeper Rebecca Ravitz recorded three saves.

Mount St. Mary 1, Bayonne 0: Nicole Zanchelli scored on an assist by Alexandra Aloe in the 79th minute to lift Mount St. Mary. Emily Baumly made six saves for the shutout.

Somerville 2, Bridgewater-Raritan 0: Alexis Williams and Emily Lockwood netted goals to lead Somerville (14-4-1). Bridgewater-Raritan is 11-5-5.

South Plainfield 2, Carteret 0: Claire Nagel and Caity Hughes notched second half goals to lift South Plainfield (9-9-1). Sydni Suroweic made five saves for the Tigers while Aisha Chauhan recorded 18 saves for Carteret (13-6-1).

In boys soccer

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 1, St. Joseph 0: Devin Glover scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute on an assist from Christian Zazzali as Scotch Plains-Fanwood head coach Tom Breznitsky got his 650th career win, as the Raiders improved to 14-4-1 on the season. Brenden Wash made seven saves for St. Joseph (8-9).

Westfield 5, Union City 0: Jeremie Dedea and Zachary Sheil both scored two goals and each had an assist to lead Westfield.

Gill St. Bernard’s 3, Wardlaw-Hartridge 1: James Reiner netted three goals to lead Gill St. Bernard’s (15-3-1) in the Prep B Tournament semifinals.

Jordan Schreer made eight saves for the Knights. Wardlaw-Hartridge is 10-10.
