Fox Valley Lutheran regional: The Berlin Indians girls track team took home a regional championship, thanks to six event winners.
Claudia Roca and Kinsey Harmon each had two event wins for the Indians. Roca won the high jump and the triple jump competitions, while Harmon swept the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for Berlin.
Jenna Horn collected a first-place finish in the long jump and the 3,200-meter relay team also won a regional title.
Berlin also got sectional qualifying efforts from Callie Walker in the shot put, Roca in the 100-meter hurdles, Hannah Speers in the 100-meter dash, Julia Silloway and Anna Falk in the 400-meter dash, Stephanie Melchor in the 200-meter dash, Taylor Greening in the 3,200-meter run, Payton Parmon in the discus, Horn in the triple jump, Malerie Harmon in the 800- and 1600-meter runs and the 400-, 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams.
Omro got a regional championship from Moira Kilgas in the 300-meter hurdles. She also qualified in the 100-meter hurdles as well, taking second. Lakyn Bosquez in the high jump, Catalina Beriau in the 400-meter dash and Joelle Berger in the 200-meter dash all qualified for sectionals for the Foxes.
Winneconne pushed through Ashleigh Jones in the shot put, Abi Salm in the 3,200-meter run and Abby Luedtke in the disucs to sectionals.
The Berlin boys team took fourth for the highest local team finish, led by a win in the 400-meter dash from Austin Johnson.
Berlin also qualifying efforts from Johnson in the 100-meter dash, Drew Wallace and Collin Rogers in the 1,600-meter run, Cody Day in the 200-meter dash, Jacob Caswell in the 800-meter run and the 3,200-meter relay team.
Omro pushed through Luke Seuffer in the shot put and discus, David Thomas in the 100-meter dash, Logan Krueger in the shot put and their 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams to sectionals, while Winneconne got Cooper Goss in the discus, Sam Engle in the 1,600-meter run and their 800-meter relay team to sectionals.
Little Chute won the boys regional title.
