Granville’s girls 200 medley relay of Keely Lovern, Kassandra Mestemaker, Abby Stone and Sydney King won in preliminaries in a time of 1:45.22 to reach the Division II state finals Thursday.
Stone, King and Lovern each qualified for the final in two different individual events. Stone was fourth in the 100 freestyle in 51.56 and sixth in the 200 individual medley in 2:06.12; King was third in the 200 free in 1:50.74 and third in the 500 free in 4:58.78; Lovern was seventh in the 100 backstroke in 57.42 and qualified for the ‘B’ final in the 200 IM, placing 12th in 2:09.46.
Mestemaker also was fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.09.
The 200 free relay of Stone, Allison Schroeder, Alex Untied and King finished fifth and qualified with a time of 1:38.03.
The Granville boys 200 medley relay of Seth Stahl, Jack Barrett, Grant Stahl and Sam Wagner qualified for ‘B’ final in 10th in a time of 1:39.62.
The 400 free relay of Schroeder, Paige Griesse, Dannie Roberts and Lovern finished 12th and qualified for the ‘B’ final with a 12th-place finish in 3:41.94.
Wagner qualified for the ‘B’ final in two events: the 50 free (22.06, 9th) and the 100 free (48.92, 15th).
Barrett also qualified for the ‘B’ final in the 100 breast (1:00.54, 14th).
