ZANESVILLE

The Zanesville girls moved to 11-0 with a 2,261-1,929 win Thursday against New Lexington in South Central Ohio Conference action at Sunrise Strikes.

The Lady Devils were nine pins from a school record, but Carmie Shook broke an individual mark with a school-best 255-469 series. Erika Savage added a 222-425 and Tamaira Hina had a 200-370.

The Panthers were led by Morgan Stickdorn’s 246-453 and Brianna Carney’s 205-393.

The Zanesville boys won 2,303-2,231 as Brandon Travis rolled a 248-437 series and Scottie Gifford a 215-422. Chase Shiplett bowled a 244-487 and B.J. Eads a 245-396 for New Lexington.

Zanesville won the boys reserve match 1,845-1,547 behind Blake Snyder’s 232-387 and Brandon Lear’s 199-335. Colin Siemer led the Panthers with a 208-413.

Zanesville will compete at the Pioneer Classic in Lima on Monday.
