Blythewood Promotes Assistant To Head Coach

By

(WLTX) — The Blythewood Bengals didn’t have to look far for its new head football coach. Dan Morgan, who had served as the team’s defensive coordinator, will become the new head football coach of the Bengals.

Morgan has more than 16 years of experience coaching high school football with stops at Brookland-Cayce, Waccamaw, Northwestern and West-Oak high schools.

“Dan Morgan has proven his commitment to the success of our football program,” said Blythewood principal Keith Price.

“He’s done an outstanding job as defensive coordinator, and I believe he will do an even better job as head coach.”

“I have a strong commitment to the program and school, and I am excited for the incredible opportunity to take this team to a place of excellence and integrity,” Morgan said.

He replaces Reggie Kennedy who left to take over the program at Sumter High School.
