J.D. Rodriguez netted 23 points, swiped 10 steals and distributed six assists Thursday as the Bound Brook High School boys basketball team clinched its third undefeated Skyland Conference Valley Division championship with a 67-51 victory over Delaware Valley.
Leon Johnson added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Crusaders, who improvd to 23-1.
Peter Christ tallied 16 points for the Terriers (16-7) to become the program’s all-time leading scorer.
Montgomery 45, Matawan 22: Mike Rubayo scored 20 points as Montgomery improved to 16-9.
Piscataway 78, North 13th St. Tech 42: David Claybrook posted 16 points and Marinus Tavernier added 12 points and five rebounds as Piscataway improved to 12-13. Joe Hines chipped in 11 points for the Chiefs.
New Providence 50, Governor Livingston 48: Bryan Sherman converted a layup in the final seconds and finished with 14 points to lead New Providence (11-12). Cameron DeFronzo led Governor Livingston (5-17) with 17 points.
J.F. Kennedy 56, North Brunswick 54: Kyle Alvarez knocked down two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to break a 54-54 tie and boost J.F. Kennedy (11-15). Alvarez finished with a team-high 11 points and Omar Reyes also scored 11 for the Mustangs. Nick Sidotti connected on a game-high 17 points for North Brunswick (18-6).
Perth Amboy 59, New Brunswick 54: David Rodgers scored 23 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Perth Amboy (7-19). Paul McKenzie paced New Brunswick (4-20) with 14 points and five assists and Ahmad Sannoh chipped in 11 points.
Immaculata 63, Keyport 51: Tom Haldeman led Immaculata (6-15) in scoring with 17 points and teammate Markell Barnes chipped in with 16 points.
Hillsborough 59, Columbia 49: Matt Johnston scored a game-high 16 points as Hillsborough (20-5) pulled away late. The Raiders led by just one heading into the fourth quarter but outscored Columbia 25-16 to emerge victorious. Jon Gregory scored 13 points and Nick Alaimo chipped in 12.

Bloomfield 61, Watchung Hills 51: Pat Skowronski scored 13 points and Marquis Singleton chipped in 11 for Watchung Hills (15-9).
Westfield 60, Sayreville 48: Scott Toresco registered a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Westfield (15-9). Corey Taite led Sayreville (16-10) with 14 points.
GMC Tournament Semifinals
6, South Brunswick 2: South Brunswick took a 1-0 lead after the first period courtesy of Thomas Fisher but it was all top-seeded St. Joseph (16-2-3) from that point on as the Falcons scored four goals in the second period. Nathaniel Welsh scored the first two goals of the period while teammates Mike Soper and Rob Musante accounted for the remainder of the scoring. Welsh, who would add another goal and assist, surpassed head coach Ryan Carter for second place on St. Joseph’s all-time career points list and now has 153 career points. Ketul Patel added the final goal for fourth-seeded South Brunswick (9-8-1) late in third period. The Falcons advance to the GMC title to face Old Bridge tomorrow night at 6:30 at the Woodbridge Community Center where they’ll try and defend their title.
