The Port Clinton varsity girls bowling team rolled over the Golden Bears, 2505-2190, Thursday at Tri County Bowl.

Sophomore Reilly Wittman led the Lady ‘skins with 187-231 for a 418 series. Juniors Alysia Zoeller rolled 204-194 for 398, Kassidy Mahler 181-164 for 345,and Eryn Binder rolled a 163 game.

“The girls bowled very good tonight, but we still need to improve,” said Port Clinton coach Bob Black. “Again, we had three low games in team, and sort of lost our focus in Baker. These girls are working hard and I’m sure we will see them get better.”

Gibsonburg’s boys held on for a 2635-2592 win over the Redskins. Freshman Kordell Blankenship led the Port Clinton with games of 200-180 for 380. Darryl Trent rolled 174-202 for 376 series, Jacob Reed 145-182 for 327, Caleb Conrad 160-157 for 317, and Caleb Conrad 160-157 for 317.

“We lost another match we easily could have won,” said Black. “We are not making spares, and that has to improve if we are going to turn things around. Our first two matches have been very disappointing.”
