Boys All-CLC: Flying Dutchmen put three on first team

No one came close to touching the Oostburg boys basketball team in the Central Lakeshore Conference this season.

The Flying Dutchmen went 16-0, and won their games by an average of more than 25 points per contest.

Leading the charge were seniors Josiah VerVelde, Tyler Hartmann and Kortu Josiah; who were all named to the All-CLC First Team as voted on by the coaches.

VerVelde and Hartmann were both unanimous picks, as was Ozaukee senior Stephen Street and Howards Grove sophomore Ethan Brinkman.

Sheboygan Lutheran junior Tyler Zastrow was also named to the first team after leading the Crusaders to a second-place finish in the CLC.

Brinkman and Street led their teams to a tie for third place in the conference, two games behind Lutheran for second. The teams split their meetings, with Ozaukee winning 47-45 on Feb. 5 and Howards winning 45-42 on Feb. 12.

Oostburg, Lutheran and Howards had the most selections, with three each. Ozaukee and Sheboygan Christian both had two players recognized.
