Sheboygan Lutheran hung strong for most of the game with Division 5 second-ranked NEW Lutheran, but a rough second quarter proved to be the difference in an 82-61 Blazers win in Sheboygan on Monday.

Sheboygan (7-4) was outscored by NEW (13-0) 17-6 in the second quarter, and kept the Crusaders at bay in the fourth by going 18-of-22 from the free-throw line.

Tyler Zastrow poured in a game-high 29 points for Sheboygan Lutheran, and Jacob Jurss added 16 points. Zastrow scored 15 of Lutheran’s 19 points in the first half.

Dakota Zinser scored 21 points and Nathan Toenjes added 20 points for NEW.
