Ashwaubenon boys basketball coach Kevin Phillips has stepped down after seven seasons with the team.
Phillips, who is expected to continue teaching physical education at the school, went 88-73 with the Jaguars.
Ashwaubenon was one of the best squads in the 12-team Fox River Classic Conference this past season, going 18-6 overall and 12-4 in league play.
It tied Sheboygan North for third place in the conference and had the third stingiest defense in the league, permitting 47.7 points per game.
The Jaguars beat eventual Division 2 state champion Pulaski twice during the season and took the Red Raiders to overtime in a 44-43 regional championship loss in February.
Phillips is the third area coach from the FRCC to step down since the end of the season, joining Green Bay Preble’s Robert Darrow and Green Bay Southwest’s Chris Karcz.
Southwest and Preble have yet to announce replacements, although the process in both cases appears to be near completion.
