Boys Basketball roundup: Neutzling propels CHS over Mora

Steven Neutzling’s season-high 20 points helped St. Cloud Cathedral hand Mora its second loss of the season with a 69-60 Granite Ridge Conference win Thursday night at Cathedral High School.

Both Cathedral (11-1) and Mora took the court with one loss on the season.

Brindley Theisen scored 15 and Brady Yoerg tallied 12 to boost Cathedral’s offense. Sam Johnson led Mora (9-2) with 15 points.

MORA – Kaleb Kamrowski 9, Cody Cottingham 4, Sam Johnson 15, Jon Burrow 6, Adam Burgess 10, Justin Obert 4, Blake Osline 2, Greg Mork 10.

CATHEDRAL – Jalen Braegelmann 2, Brindley Theisen 15, Steven Neutzling 20, Tom Burt 5, Brady Schmit 5, Brady Yoerg 12, Conor Voss 10.

Halftime score: Mora 28, Cathedral 24.

ALBANY 88, PRINCETON 51

PRINCETON – Senior Scott Litchy reached the 1,000-point mark for his career as Albany cruised past Princeton.

Litchy, who needed nine points going into the game to reach 1,000, scored 26 points for the Huskies (2-2 Granite Ridge, 5-6).

Junior Dalton Finken scored 13 points while seniors Zach Raeker and Brett Fischer added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Princeton was led by junior co-captain Jack Sinkel, who finished with 16 points.

BECKER – Tyler Templin had 25 points to help lead the Falcons to the Granite Ridge Conference victory.

Ben Greener added 11 points for the Falcons, who led 33-16 at the half. Josh Nohner had 13 points to lead the Bulldogs.

FOLEY – Nathan Boeckman 8, Tyler Templin 25, Kurt Winkelman 5, Jimmy Gray 4, Sam Udermann 8, Andrew Klucas 2, Ben Greener 11, Birk Friedsam 2.

LITTLE FALLS – Collin Eckman had 18 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Flyers, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Warriors.

Jake Scott added 14 points for Little Falls and Sebastain Sowada had 10 points. Brainerd led 36-28 at the half.

MINNEWASKA 51

GLENWOOD – Nick Adams had a double-double for the Mainstreeters with 27 points and 17 rebounds as his team thumped the Lakers.

Austin Giese led Minnewaska with 13 points.
