Boys cross country: Lancaster places sixth

Sophomore Noah Ball led the Golden Gales to a sixth-place finish at Saturday’s Asics Hot Summer Bash at Hilliard Davidson.

Ball finished 24th in the meet, which included seven top-ranked teams from Ohio and Kentucky. Jon Urbine, Isaak Kaiser and Robbie Harris formed a tight pack to finish just behind him in 28th, 29th and 30th, respectively.

Nick Bosser placed 42nd to round out the Lancaster scoring. Zach Whipple and Grant Luby completed Lancaster’s top seven, taking 44th and 45th, respectively.

Jarod DiDomenico led all Gales in the Asics Freshman-Sophomore Race with a ninth-place finish. Nathan Anderson (13th), Andy Ferris (20th), Noah Hinson (25th) and Justin Nauman completed the scoring as the Gales took third in the race. Frankie Meszaros led Lancaster runners in the open race with a seventh-place finish.

Eleven Golden Gale athletes ran season best times, and six set all-time personal bests.

The Gales Compete next on Saturday at the Mason Invitational.
