Port Clinton’s Joey Kurtz tallied two birdies as part of an even-par round of 35, finishing tied for second overall as the Redskins won Tuesday’s Sandusky Bay Conference quad match at Sawmill Creek.
Freshman Anthony Paradiso was the second lowest Port Clinton with a round of 40. Shane Meek carded a 42 and Ashton Barton a 44 to round out the four-man score.
Huron’s Eric Myles was the individual medalist with a 1-under 34.
“That is a good win for us,” Redskins coach Rick Dominick said. “Joey was very, very good once again. Anthony played very well for us today and continues to surprise me with his poise for being a freshman. We got what we need out of both Mitchell and Ashton, if we can get scores like that from those two, we will have a chance to win each time out on the course.”
