The Golden Gales fought back to earn a tie at Teays Valley. The Vikings came into the game with a 9-1-1 record and averaged five goals per game.
The Vikings took a 1-0 lead on a corner kick 10 minutes into the second half, but the Gales tied it with six minutes left when Quinn Galecki hit a corner kick that was misplayed by the goalkeeper and Patrick Wagner was there for the rebound.
The defense of Jacob Cordle, Alex Gunther, Andrew Murray, Tyler Wycoff and Kaylib Young-Argyle limited the high-scoring Vikings to few scoring chances. Andrew Koksal had 14 saves in goal for the Gales (4-5-2).
