Old Bridge 2, East Brunswick 1 (OT): Lou Petrozziello headed home the game-winning goal off a corner kick five minutes into overtime to send Old Bridge (7-9) to the upset victory over East Brunswick. Alex Mora gave the Bears (14-2-1) the lead in the second half before Joe Aldorasi scored the equalizer for the Knights with 15 minutes remaining in regulation.

J.P. Stevens 2, Colonia 1: Jenish Patel and Sid Hariharan scored first half goals as J.P. Stevens (12-3) held on for the win. Brandon Levetin cut the deficit in half for Colonia (6-7-1) in the 65th minute.

Monroe 4, North Brunswick 0: Alec Vastardis scored two goals and John Cosenza and Mike Mischler each scored goals as well to lift Monroe (8-6-1). Brandon shamy made 12 saves for North Brunswick (7-8-1).

Sayreville 2, New Brunswick 1: Fernando Maldonado scored a pair of second half goals to power Sayreville (8-8-1) with goalie Connor Drabik making seven saves. Gaston Medina scored the lone Perth Amboy (7-9) goal while Ben Rojas made seven saves in net.

Edison 5, New Brunswick 1: Mused Mohamed netted four goals and an assist and Ali Mohamed notched two assists to lead Edison (9-7). New Brunswick fell to 5-9-1.

South Brunswick 3, Ridge 1: Tommy Dorsay scored a goal and had an assist and Jorge de la bandera and Miles Anglin also scored goals to power South Brunswick (9-5-1).

Middlesex 3, Spotswood 2: Joe Korom, Isaac Ortiz, and Ivan Matta all scored goals and keeper Carsten Bowers made 13 saves to lead Middlesex (8-7). Adrian Neves and Steve Yuhasz scored one goal each, Fady Basili had two assists, and Matt Krause made six saves for Spotswood (10-5).

South Plainfield 5, Woodbridge 0: Kevin Casteblanco netted three goals, Jose Guardado recorded two goals and an assist, and Nick Polizzano and AntohnyRovayo each dished out two assists to lead South Plainfield (13-2-1). Woodbridge fell to 1-16.

St. Joseph 7, Piscataway 0: Brandon Cruz and Tony Haddad each scored two goals and Brenden Wash made four saves for the shutout as St. Joseph (7-7) rolled past Piscataway (1-12).

Gill St. Bernard’s 2, Bound Brook 1: Justin Durcan and James Reiner each scored goals while Kevin Brito and Cameron Miller each had an assist to pace Gill St. Bernard’s (13-1-1). Bound Brook fell to 7-8.

Bridgewater-Raritan 1, Hunterdon Central 1: Steven Collins netted a first half goal for Hunterdon Central (11-2-3) before Tyler Stevens scored the equalizer off an assist from Josh Rich in the second half for Bridgewater-Raritan (6-9-1) as the teams played to a draw.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 2, Union 0: James Murphy recorded a goal and an assist and Casey Gibbons also scored a goal as Scothc Plains-Fanwood (10-3-1) clinched their third consecutive conference championship with the win.

North Plainfield 4, Belvidere 1: Adan Ramirez scored two goals and Christian Medina and Chigoze Atubi each added a goal to lead North Plainfield (9-6).

North Hunterdon 3, Franklin 0: Michael Finer scored two goals and Logan Ventura added a goal to lead North Hunterdon (8-5-1). Franklin fell to 2-13.

Somerville 7, Warren Hills 0: Alex Noriega scored four goals as Somerville improved to 8-7-1.

Westfield 6, Cranford 1: Michael Prosuk socred two goals to lead the Westfield (9-4) attack.

Plainfield 2, New Providence 0: Miguel Hernandez netted a goal and an assist and Carlos Tobias notched a goal to propel Plainfield (7-6-2). New Providence fell to 4-9.

Dayton 1, Gov. Livingston 0: Jake Topor made six saves for Gov. Livingston (11-2).

Rahway 3, Summit 1: Dylan Santos netted two goals and Frank Mangano also notched a goal in leading Rahway (8-4-2).


The 2013 Prep B tournament was seeded Thursday, with Gill St. Bernard’s being awarded the top seed.

The tournaments get underway next Thursday with quarterfinals games. The semifinals are scheduled for Oct. 30, with the final being played Sunday, Nov. 3, all at the higher seed.
