St. Benedict’s 4, Monroe 1: Christian Corbisiero scored off a feed from Brandon Cherney in the second half for Monroe. Tyler Utheim halted seven shots for the Falcons (7-6-1). St. Benedict’s, the top-ranked team in the country, received goals from four different players.
East Brunswick 1, South Brunswick 0: Junior forward Kevin Walsh slotted home a feed from sophomore Keysean Brant-Sharp in the 24th minute to boost the Bears. Junior Dennis Kotenko and senior Ryan Goydos combined to make six saves for the Bears (14-1-1) while senior Erich Kaiser stopped six shots for the Vikings (8-6-1).
Highland Park 2, Middlesex 1: John Baay scored the game-winner with 25 minutes left in regulation with Christian Martinez picking up the assist and Highland Park improved to 6-5-2. John Buzbee also scored for the Owls, with an assist from Kyle Thieringer, while Lucas Marin made eight saves in the victory. Joe Korum scored off a Luis Burbes pass for Middlesex (5-7-2).
Spotswood 3, J.F. Kennedy 1: Justin Vizzi posted a goal and an assist, and Fady Basil notched two assists as Spotswood scored three times during a 10-minute span in the second period to win. Nick Moran and Andrew Picardo also hit for the Chargers (9-4). Matt Scalia scored for the Mustangs (6-8).
North Brunswick 6, Piscataway 0: Jared Rogers scored four goals and Troy Chibbaro chipped in a goal and an assist to power North Brunswick. Adriano Marques also hit for the Raiders (6-7-1), who got a combined 10 saves from keepers Brandon Mattis and Steven Szakas. Ryan Corbett made 14 stops for Piscataway (1-10).
South Amboy 4, Cardinal McCarrick 0: Jose Romero, Jack O’Connor, Conrad Gregoriew and Jayson Olivares netted one goal each to power South Amboy. Nick Reagan, Marvin DeAusen, Nate Enim and Justin Rios all contributed one assist for the Governors (8-4). Cardinal McCarrick is 0-9.
Carteret 1, Metuchen 0 (OT): Mussa Deouf assisted Krimpuri Surinder’s game-winning goal in overtime to send Carteret (6-6-2). Julio Velex made four saves for Carteret (6-10-1).
Wardlaw-Hartridge 2, Bishop Ahr 1: Anthony Appiah and Diogo Ferreira each netted a goal in the first half and it proved to be enough for Wardlaw-Hartridge. Andrew Dumont stopped 10 shots for the Rams (6-7). Bishop Ahr is 5-8.
