St. Joseph 1, Monroe 0: Matt Nykolyn came off the bench midway through the second half and rifled home a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner from 18 yards out to lift St. Joseph (5-5). Nykolyn took advantage of a miscue by a Monroe (6-5) defender, as he played the ball off a difficult bounce and skipped by the last man of the defense. Brenden Wash made eight saves for St. Joseph while Tyler Utheim had six saves for Monroe, inlcuding an incredible full extension save in the first half to save a goal.

East Brunswick 2, North Brunswick 0: Sophomore forward Keysean Brant-Sharp converted a penalty kick in the fifth minute and senior forward Dominic Bohorquez drilled a free kick into the upper corner in the 33rd minute as East Brunswick improved to 12-1. Dennis Kotenko made five saves for the Bears while Brandon Shamy and Steven Szakas combined for 14 saves for North Brunswick (4-7-1).

South Plainfield 2, Sayreville 0: Kevin Casteblanco and Jose Guardado scored second half goals to lift South Plainfield (10-2-1). Kyle Dennis made seven saves in the shutout for the Tigers while Connor Drabik made seven saves for Sayreville (4-8-1).

J.P. Stevens 5, New Brunswick 0: Antonio Nigro scored two goals and added an assist and three other Hawks added goals as J.P. Stevens improved to 9-2. Srid Sriram and Conner Shah combined for eight saves for J.P. Stevens. Miguel Angel Vasquez and John Vasquez combined for six saves for New Brunswick (5-6-1).

Metuchen 3, J.F. Kennedy 0: Cameron O’Connell, Jordyn Kessler and Frank McGuire each scored goals and Joe Misdea and Ben O’Connell combined for 14 saves to lead Metuchen (6-3-2). J.F. Kennedy fell to 6-6.

Edison 5, Woodbridge 0: Mused Mohamed netted a hat trick to lead Edison while Chris Noel and Aharon Paul also scored goals. Jordan Rosenhouse collected two assists for the Eagles. Woodbridge fell to 1-12.

Timothy Christian 7, Cardinal McCarrick 0: Ayub Yousaf scored two goals and five others each netted one goal to lead Timothy Christian (10-2). Matt Harris had two saves for the Tigers. Cardinal McCarrick fell to 0-7.

Watchung Hills 1, North Hunterdon 0: Ray Arnold assisted Filipe Goncalves for the game’s only score. J.P. Gavin made six saves for the Watchung Hills (8-0-1). North Hunterdon is 5-5-1.

Somerville 1, Phillipsburg 0 (OT): Kunal Agarwal assisted Justin Heins on the game-winning goal for Somerville. Nick Nugent made eight saves for the Pioneers (7-5-1).

Hunterdon Central 1, Montgomery 0: Max Gomez scored the game’s lone goal off Nick Provenzano’s assist in the second half to lift Hunterdon Central (9-1-2). Cameron Zell made three saves for the Red Devils while Kyle Ballinger had five saves for Montgomery (6-4-2).

Gill St. Bernard’s 4, North Plainfield 1: James Reiner scored two goals and Steven Bednarsky recorded two assists to lead Gill St. Bernard’s (11-0-1). Miguel Londono scored a second half goal for North Plainfield (7-6).

Bernards 5, Belvidere 0: Danny Torres netted a hat trick, Kilian Hausler had a goal and an assist, and Richard Dominguez also scored a goal to lead Bernards (9-0-1).

Union Catholic 3, Plainfield 2: Brandon Barros-Dias netted a pair of goals and Chris Gingrich added another for Union Catholic (6-5). Oliver Korngor and Kelvin Rivera each scored one goal for Plainfield (6-5-1).
